2008 Pioneer Block 4 Pinot Noir presents a medium ruby-purple color and good intensity of black cherry and pomegranate aromas with some tree bark and underbrush. Medium bodied with a medium level of silky tannins and a good backbone of high acid, it finishes with medium-long persistence. Drinking now, it should keep this vibrant through 2013.
