I hadn't tasted the white wines from Salvatore Molettieri in the past, so this is a fun start. The 2018 Fiano di Avellino Apianum shows a golden straw color and reveals orchard fruit, citrus and honeydew melon. The approach here is ripe, and the wine shows a lean to almost medium-bodied presentation with an extra dose of concentration and ripe fruit. There is a grassy note on the close.
