The 2005 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is made in a light to medium-bodied style that emphasizes its ethereal, perfumed aromatics rather than an overt expression of fruit, as is often the case with other Cannonaus. This understated, elegant wine reveals a core of sweet cherries that gradually emerges with air. It remains a feminine wine of notable class, particularly at this level. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. Sella e Mosca’s history goes back all the way to the 19th century. Even though the estate produces a large quantity of wine, quality is quite high.
