Forged from estate grown fruit off the Raupo Creek Vineyard, the 2009 Raupo Creek Pinot Noir, was naturally fermented and aged for 15 months in French oak barriques, 30% new. Ruby-purple in color, it is intensely scented of black cherries and black raspberries over hints of violets, tar and smoked duck. Medium-full bodied, it is generously fruited with concentrated berry flavors offset by crisp acidity and grainy tannins. The finish is long and earthy. It’s approachable now and should remain delicious to 2016+. Importer: The Sorting Table, Napa, CA
