The 2011 Pinot Gris offers youthfully mute notes of fresh pears and golden delicious apple slices with hints of allspice and baking bread. Full-bodied and dry on the palate, it has a lovely creamy texture and a good concentration of apple and spice flavors, finishing long. Drink this one now through 2014.
I tasted a few of Seresin’s single vineyard 2009 Pinot Noirs again this year, to check how they were developing now that they were entering their drinking window. In short, it is well worth waiting a year after release before readers consider drinking these wines!
