The 2006 Gran Guarda is a 100% Malbec cuvee aged for 14 months in French and American oak. Deep purple-colored, it offers up an alluring bouquet of smoke, leather, mineral, black cherry, and blueberry. This leads to a medium-bodied wine with layers of savory fruit and enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years. This well-balanced wine will be at its best from 2010 to 2018.
