The 2008 Macedon Ranges Chardonnay offers fragrant peach blossom and honeysuckle notes with underlying aromas of apricots, cream, baking bread, meal and a touch of cashews. Crisp, rich, medium bodied and satiny on the palate, it finishes long with layers of stone fruit and savory flavors. The 2006 Macedon Ranges Chardonnay is a little vegetal with hints of cabbage and asparagus over mandarin peel, lemon curd and under-ripe peach. Medium bodied with high acidity, it has a nice suggestion of silkiness and a long citrus and herb finish. Drink it now through 2013.
