The 2016 M3 Chardonnay kicks off with trace aromas of struck match and roasted cashew, then opens out to grilled pineapple and peach. It's medium to full-bodied, providing a generous mid-palate of fruit, then tightens up and refocuses on the citrus-laden finish. It's one of the best M3 Chardonnays I can recall tasting, showing lovely balance and complexity.

The 2014 Chardonnay M3 Vineyard opens with apricot, melon and pink grapefruit notes with a buttered toast and cedar laced undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate delivers plenty of expressive fruit with a lovely silken texture, finishing with linering savory notes.

The 2013 Chardonnay M3 Vineyard starts off with notes of apricots, melons and pink grapefruit that are dotted with hints of toast, cashews, honey and cedar. There is an appealing elegance and freshness on the medium-bodied palate that has citrusy layers and a long finish.

Opening with a well-defined nose of ripe peaches, apricots and pink grapefruit with touches of ginger, cashews, cedar and struck match, the light-bodied 2012 M3 Chardonnay shows a great intensity of stone fruit flavors running along a lively acid line.
