There is no 2020 Hope's Cuvée (only an Estate Chardonnay was bottled), but the 2021 Chardonnay Hope’s Cuvée is a refined, elegant example of the winery's top white wine. From five acres on the southern side of the drive leading up to the winery, it's barrel fermented in about 50% new French oak, with two-fifths of the total made in 500-liter puncheons. Delicate nuances of pencil shavings and vanilla accent white peach and ripe melon notes on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is nicely coiled and focused, finishing long and smooth.

Hand-harvested at night from vines that sit below the winery site and barrel fermented in approximately 50% new French oak, Signorello's 2020 Chardonnay Hope’s Cuvée is made in a ripe, expansive style that manages to retain a certain amount of freshness. Marked by scents of grilled pear, melon and citrus, it also hints at more savory notes of toasted grain. Full-bodied and creamy textured, it's generous but balanced, with just enough citrus rind coming through on the finish to give this rich wine a sense of equilibrium.

The 2019 Chardonnay Hope’s Cuvée needs a little coaxing to reveal scents of ripe apricots, green guava, pineapple upside-down cake and spice cake with an undercurrent of cedar chest, honeycomb and almond croissant. The medium-bodied palate has a gorgeous satiny texture with gentle, well-knit acidity and lots of spice and toast accents to the intense tropical flavors, finishing long and layered.

The 2018 Chardonnay Hope’s Cuvée is 100% Chardonnay from estate vineyards in front of the property, planted in 1980. It fermented with native yeasts, and 50% of production went through malolactic. It was aged for 10.5 months in 50% new French oak. It leaps from the glass with honey-drizzled peaches, spiced pears and apple pie scents plus nuances of cashews, orange blossoms and allspice. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a beautiful satiny texture and tons of ripe, expressive stone fruit and spiced-apple flavors, finishing with great length.

Aged in 50% new French oak and bottled in June 2018 the 2017 Chardonnay Hope's Cuvée opens with notions of honeydew melon, fresh peaches, ripe Bosc pears and apple pie plus nuances of crushed rocks, crème caramel and buttered popcorn. Medium-bodied, it's elegant in the mouth with a satiny texture and fantastic freshness, finishing on a savory note. 405 cases made.
