Smooth and even, pleasantly creamy, this wine shows lots of toasty oak, chocolate and cedar over the jammy yet tart blackberry fruit. Pepper, anise and vanilla accents add interest, and though the fruit is dense and heavily oaked, the wine is mid-weight and even rather than monolithic.
