The 1996 Viognier was just about to be bottled, hence the projected range in scores. Aromatic, but not as intensely varietal as I expected, this medium-bodied, fruity, straightforward Viognier offers a tasty glass of wine, but it does not possess enough of the Viognier character to merit a higher rating.
