Although none of Steele's Pinot Noirs were outstanding, they are all well-made, juicy, straightforward wines that need to be drunk over the next 4-5 years. The 1995 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley reveals a healthy dark ruby color, as well as an attractive, sweet, herbal and black fruit-scented nose with some oak in the background. This spicy, oaky wine is medium-bodied, with a tannic toughness and quick finish. It should soften with another year of bottle age, but do not expect it to last longer than 3-4 years. Tel.
