With just 8% alcohol, the 2009 Alfresco Riesling gives intense aromas of honeycomb, lime cordial and touch of lemongrass with some musk melon. The medium sweetness on this light-bodied wine is countered by crisp acidity and lingers into the long, refreshing finish. Drinking now, this wine should keep to 2015+. Husband and wife team Steve and Monique Lubiana are at the helm of this small, family run operation just north of Hobart. The estate has been organically managed for 7-8 years and is in the process of converting to biodynamics. Average annual production is around 10,000 cases.No known US importer.
