From barrel, the 2017 Trousseau Stolpman Vineyards is very promising, offering up an already expressive nose of strawberry preserve, herbs and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is supple, open-knit and especially silky and lingering. This is shaping up to be a lovely vintage of the Combe Trousseau.

The 2016 Trousseau Stolpman Vineyards is a bit more earthy and savory than the 2015 rendition, aromas of underbrush mingling with strawberry and wild plum fruit. On the palate, the wine is supple, open-knit and light to medium-bodied, with juicy acids and a tangy, thirst-quenching finish.

The 2015 Trousseau Stolpman Vineyards is lovely, wafting from the glass with notes of wild strawberry, Griotte cherry, licorice and candied peel. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and sappy, with a juicy core of sweet red fruit and fine-grained, structuring tannins which cut through the fruit on the savory finish. The 2015 vintage has translated into a touch more mid-palate amplitude and fruit weight, much like the 2015 vintage in this variety's native Jura, but this wine is none the worse for that.
