The 2008 Lahuen is a blend of 57% Carmenere, 19% Syrah, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Malbec sourced from the estate’s best parcels. It spent 16 months in new French oak barriques and 18 months in bottle prior to release. It offers up an already complex bouquet of sandalwood, brier, wild berries, lavender, and exotic spices. In the glass it reveals loads of spice, layered black fruits, enough structure to evolve for 3-4 years, excellent volume, and a lengthy, pure finish. Its drinking window will extend from 2016 to 2023 if not longer. Terra Noble is a family-owned bodega founded in 1992. It owns four farms in four different valleys as well managing a number of long-term grape contracts.Importer: Winebow, Inc, New York, NY; www.winebow.com
