Savoury, spicy, prune development. Fresh, dense and firm structure. Length, balance and some complexity.

A good but awkward attempt at a bigger, more saturated, more serious wine. The nose tells you that it’s ripe, but there’s some reduction in there too. The palate is revved up and tannic with turbulence along the way. Spice, chocolate and heat all play a part on the berry-driven palate.——M.S.(7/1/2008)—— 86
