From the Adelaide Hills—a region not particularly known for Shiraz—this is a top-notch effort. The fruit is brighter and redder than many Aussie Shirazes, but those raspberry notes are given weight and smoothness from the oak aging, which has added hints of toast, vanilla, brown sugar and cafe au lait. The tannins are supple, imparting a creamy texture in the mouth and suggesting consumption over the next 3–4 years.——J.C.(4/1/2009)—— 90
