Grenache (45%), Mataro (36%), Carignan (17%) and the balance Counoise, the 2022 Cuvee Juveniles is made utilizing a number of different fermentation and maturation vessels in order to allow the fruit to speak clearly, without the encumbrance of obvious oak characters. On the nose, there is brooding black plum, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, licorice, cassis and bramble. This is fresh and precise, a really beautiful wine. The spool of flavor through the finish draws out to a long close. This is supple and good, with graphite.

A blend of Grenache, Mataro, Carignan, Counoise and Shiraz, the 2021 Cuvee Juveniles is unbaked, crunchy, juicy and of a light frame—it doesn't have any gravitas or floor, but the fruit that floats above it is buoyant and lively. This would be gorgeous by the glass in a bar in Paris... I do miss the original blue and red label.

A tank-aged blend of 72% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre and 5% Shiraz, the 2019 Cuvee Juveniles features notes of red raspberries and cherries lightly dusted with hints of cinnamon, clove and allspice. Medium to full-bodied, it's a smooth and supple, easy-to-drink—almost chuggable—wine for near-term enjoyment.

The unoaked 2018 Cuvee Juveniles is a blend of 67% Grenache, 23% Mataro and 10% Shiraz. It's ripe and full, verging on jammy, with black cherry and black olive aromas and flavors, supple tannins and a mouthwatering finish.

All tank-aged, the 2017 Cuvee Juveniles is a blend of 61% Grenache, 28% Mataro and 11% Shiraz. It features delicate strawberry aromas, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that's creamy and lush. This fruit-driven puppy is easy to knock back, with just a hint of espresso adding a savory edge to the finish.
