The 2008 Pinot Noir La Colina Vineyard is medium crimson-colored with a lovely perfume of violets, spice box, earth notes, black cherry, and black raspberry. On the palate it displays layers of savory black fruits, plenty of spice, and a suave personality. There is enough fine-grained tannin to permit several more years of bottle aging and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. It will provide pleasurable drinking from 2013 to 2023.
Torii Mor was founded in 1993 by Dr. Donald and Margie Olson. Their Olson Estate Vineyard was planted in 1972 making it one of the oldest in the state. Production now stands at 15,000 cases.
