Made with organically-farmed fruit, the 2013 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo opens to dark concentration and black fruit aromas. But I also picked up on a point of Band Aid or natural rubber that could worsen with time. I'd suggest a short drinking window. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo spends 15 months in neutral oak.

The 2010 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a frank, honest wine with plenty of dark fruit and a rich, enveloping personality. There is nothing fancy here, just a rich, dense Montepulciano with excellent varietal character and more than enough fruit to provide pleasure for at least a few years.
