The 2013 Orvieto is a simple white wine based on Grechetto and Trebbiano grapes. This is a cool and crisp expression with bright intensity and pretty aromas of citrus and green melon that rise from the glass in an upfront and immediate manner. The wine feels streamlined and fresh in the mouth. The 2013 vintage was a good one for the area of Orvieto in Umbria (central Italy).

The 2012 Orvieto (60-40 Grechetto and Trebbiano Toscana/Malvasia) shows dried herbs and straw with a modest dose of peach, honeydew melon and crushed mineral. Trappolini’s 2007 Orvieto is a delicious, steely white endowed with pretty notes of melon, jasmine and minerals.
