This is clearly a superlative source for terrific red wines at bargain prices. Looking for a smoky, chocolatey, black-cherry-scented and flavored Merlot at a reasonable price? Trentadue's 1987 Merlot offers the super-ripeness, admirable concentration, and chewy texture expected from a top vintage. It also possesses lavish amounts of fruit and flavor. Deep, yet already impressive and evolved, this is a full-flavored, personality-filled Merlot. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. It should be apparent that this winery is making a bevy of terrific red wines at bargain basement prices. Their wines all sell for between $6-$12 a bottle. Given their quality/price rapport, these wines will not linger on retailers' shelves.
