The 2008 Shiraz Viognier was matured for 16 months in seasoned French oak barriques. It reveals a deep garnet-purple color and notes of ripe blackberries and blueberries, anise, black pepper and dusty earth. Medium-full bodied, it fills the mouth with warm berry flavors and a little spice, supported by a medium level of rounded tannins and a high level of refreshing acidity. The finish is long and peppery. Drinking now, it should cellar to 2015+.No known USA importer.
