The 2007 SHORESH is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah. On this second taste, with some time to come together, it shows considerably better, with few flaws evident, although it does not have much distinction considering its price point. Its mid-palate shows modest concentration, but it does have a certain elegant feel. Once past the rush of sweet fruit, there is still an herbal note on the finish, although not off-putting. There is pleasing sweet fruit on the first attack and the touch of a licorice overlay on the finish that adds a near-candied note at first. Some aeration helped that develop, as its structure took center stage, but it always gave the wine a certain, straightforward and one dimensional feel. This has developed well, considering my first impression, but it may still strike some as pleasant but pricey for what it is. It goes through several stages of development, to its credit, but I found myself liking it less as it aired out more. Drink now-2016. Importer: Israeli Wine Direct, Evanston, IL; tel: (866) 469-8708.
