The 2014 Chianti Classico Riserva is a compact and elegant wine with a great sense of inner vitality and energy. The bouquet is redolent of bright cherry and dark fruit with light shadings of dark mineral and licorice at the back. Everything is balanced and the wine feels lightweight and energizing on the zesty finish. It's lovely. This one is one of the surprise standouts of this difficult vintage.
