The 2010 Pinot Noir Cahuil Vineyard was produced from yields of only 2 tons per acre. It was aged for 10 months in 25% new French oak. Fuller in body than the Las Brisas bottling and with greater minerality, it delivers an alluring bouquet of cedar, clove, incense, black raspberry, and black cherry. Savory, ripe, and intense on the palate, this nicely proportioned Pinot has the structure and balance to evolve for 1-2 years and will be at its best from 2013 to 2018. Vina Leyda, named for the region in which it is located, specializes in cool-climate wines. The new collection ranges from excellent to outstanding.Importer: Winebow, New York, NY; www.winebow.com
