The 2009 Notas de Guardia Carmenere includes 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot spent 12 months in barrel. Notions of cedar, Asian spices, incense, herbs, plum, and blackberry set the stage for a ripe, layered, succulent Carmenere that has enough well-concealed tannin to evolve for another 3-4 years. It will deliver peak drinking from 2015 to 2024. Importer: Misa Imports, Dallas, TX; tel. (972) 235-3834
