The 2005 Azabache Crianza spent 12 months in French and American oak. Dark ruby in color, it offers up notes of cedar, leather, mineral, and blackberry with a hint of olives and anise in the background. Medium-bodied with some elegance on the palate, it has plenty of fruit, good balance, and a medium-long finish. Drink it over the next six years.
