The 2004 Flor de Grealo is 40% Merlot, 30% Syrah, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine was aged for 12 months in Fernch oak of which 25% was new. Saturated purple in color, the nose gives up scents of cedar, spice box, vanilla, blackberry, and black currant. Medium to full-bodied, supple on the palate, and with good ripeness and depth, this flavorful effort can be consumed now and over the next 3-5 years.
Vinya a l’Hereu is a 14.3 hectare estate which is certified organic. It produces nearly equal amounts of Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
