The 2015 Terra di Confine is an Umbrian blend of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Merlot. Part of the fruit, the Merlot, is air-dried until it loses one-third of its water mass. This results in a noticeably more powerful and intense bouquet that is characterized by black fruit, spice and tar. The finished wine rests in oak for one year. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
