Fermented in stainless steel, the 2019 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese is concentrated, deep and spicy on the nose that represents a perfectly selected botrytis. Rich and juicy-piquant on the palate, this is another highly finessed, elegant, rather lean and linear but balanced TBA with lingering salinity and mineral freshness thanks to the crystalline acidity from pure slate. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

Vinified in stainless steel, the yellow-golden 2017 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese is highly concentrated and aromatic on the nose, with aromas of ripe, stewed peach and candied fruit as well as oak, almond, nut and tobacco notes. The very complex, multifaceted nose leads to a rich, intense and concentrated palate with raisin and nutty aromas. The acidity is highly refined but so vivacious, even crystalline in its refined and filigreed structure. This is a legendary, highly digestible TBA that surely ranks among the very finest of the vintage. This comes in 375-milliliter bottles. Tasted in March 2019.

The 2015 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese displays a concentrated, fresh and spicy/piquant bouquet of ripe and concentrated stone fruit and citrus flavors; there are also aromas of wholemeal bread, pumpernickel and a fine botrytis flavor. This is very rich, sweet and piquant on the palate, with good finesse and elegance, but an enormously intense and concentrated finish. This TBA needs a lifetime to gain more transparency and digestible dimensions. Filled in 375-milliliter bottles.
