While Greenough hasn't bottled a Hope Vineyard Riesling since the 2015 (reviewed last year), he pulled one from the archives to fill out the lineup during my visit. The 2010 Hope Vineyard Riesling is one of the best aged Rieslings I've had from New Zealand, showcasing that aged, marmalade character that aged Aussie Rieslings can develop but remaining plump and succulent (14 grams per liter residual sugar). I wouldn't push it much longer, but this is a beauty to drink now and over the next year or two.

The 2010 Hope Vineyard Riesling displays youthfully mute aromas of fresh lime juice and honeysuckle with nuances of crushed stones and green apples. Light bodied and very crisp in the mouth, it gives a medium-dry style (14 grams per liter of residual sugar) and plenty of citrus flavor concentration, finishing long. Drink it now to 2016+.
