Tabula’s barrel-fermented 2006 Gran Tabula was sourced from Tempranillo vines over 60 years of age and spent 16 months in new French oak. Purple in color, it gives up an inviting nose of pain grille, pencil lead, espresso, scorched earth, and assorted black fruits. Tightly wound on the palate but with excellent volume and balance, this structured offering will evolve for another 6-8 years and should see its 30th birthday in fine form.
