This is a wine from 65-year-old vines and it’s perfectly floral and rich, as good Malbec should be. In the mouth, there’s blackberry, licorice, nutmeg and cinnamon. A little acidity on the palate keeps it fresh and focused. Aging this wine for a short time will probably do it some good. Best Buy. ——M.S.(3/1/2002)—— 89
