Amiot's 1998 Montrachet was difficult to assess. Its aromas, composed of expressive buttered toast and creamy minerals, are outstanding. On the palate, it exhibits intensity, power, concentration, and focus. Lemons, minerals, crisp green apples can be found throughout its flavor profile and exceedingly long finish. As this wine harmonizes and gains richness in the bottle, It will merit an even more exalted review. Projected maturity: 2003-2010.
