The 2000 Shiraz (14.5% alcohol) is a fruit bomb-styled effort (that seems to embody the character of these wines, which all come from a Langhorne Creek vineyard known as Metala), exhibiting an opaque ruby/purple color as well as gorgeous sweet, crunchy, blackberry and cherry fruit presented in an uncomplicated, but impressively delicious, succulent, hedonistic style. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years. I have immensely enjoyed the big, sweet, rich fruit found in Killibinbin's reds.Importer: Dan Philips, The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA; tel. (888) 472-5283
