The Bisceglia 2014 Aglianico del Vulture Terra di Vulcano is an entry level value wine with a raw and slightly bitter style. The wine opens to dark fruit tones with dried berry and black currant followed by tar, spice and ash. Sour cherry with raw notes of cola and grilled rosemary appear on the close. You'd need to pair this wine with fatty or buttery foods in order to placate the bitterness.

This leads off with lots of dried rosemary and ashy smoke notes, as well as flavors of raspberry preserves and leather, set on a balanced palate.
