This is another estate that has been making better and better wine of late, and their 2006 displays a masculine, meaty style, with notes of garrigue, plum, earth, and lots of cassis and underbrush. Its complex set of aromatics is followed by a dense, medium to full-bodied wine with some moderate tannins in the finish. This is serious and sizeable, and could easily merit an outstanding score with another 4-5 years of aging. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027.

Tight, firm and tannic, this is a very dry wine, the fruit smothered in tannins. With time, it could develop, but the stark texture currently is not promising much.——R.V.(3/1/2009)—— 87
