This winery tends to hold back its production to give the wines more bottle age. The gem in this portfolio of new releases is the 1990 Dry Riesling-Reserve, a rich, full-bodied, concentrated, dry Riesling with a remarkable resemblance to a top dry Riesling from Alsace. The penetrating fragrance of apricots, peaches, and flowers is super. The wine is rich and full, but oh, so dry, crisp, and well-delineated. It is an immensely flexible dry white wine that can be drunk with numerous dishes, ranging from fish and poultry, to Asian food. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
