The 2010 Gewurztraminer has a beautifully fragrant nose of lychees, frangipani and allspice with a touch of honeyed pear. Full-bodied, richly fruity and with a pleasant oiliness to the texture, it has a suggestion of sweetness (11 grams per liter of residual sugar) with refreshing acid to balance, finishing long. Drink it now to 2014.
I tasted a few of Seresin’s single vineyard 2009 Pinot Noirs again this year, to check how they were developing now that they were entering their drinking window. In short, it is well worth waiting a year after release before readers consider drinking these wines!
