The 2011 ROSE is a blend of 60% Castelao, 30% Aragonez and 10% Touriga Nacional. Fresh, ripe and with a slightly meaty overtone, this pink comes in at just 12.5% and has tons of flavor. In a fairly laid back style, this is easy to drink, without bracing acidity, but quite fresh. Note that this pink is made by Pegoes, the separately listed co-op in the region that is part of Azul Portugal’s stable.
