The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Cailleret has turned out very nicely, opening in the glass with aromas of Anjou pear, praline, toasted bread and almonds that are generously but seamlessly oak-inflected. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's nicely concentrated, with lively acids and a rich patina from its élevage.
