A solid rose that has a perfumed, layered profile, the 2012 Tavel Les Eglantiers gives up plenty of strawberry, cherry blossom and hints of herbs de Provence to go with a medium-bodied, textured profile on the palate. Staying fresh and lively, yet still showing that Tavel level of richness, it should drink nicely for a year or three. Drink now.
This serious estate is run by Laurent Brotte, with consulting help from Philippe Cambie. The wines offer high quality across the board and can represent fantastic values.
