The 2002 Tierras de Luna is 50% Mencia, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Merlot aged for 16 months in used French and American oak before being bottled unfiltered. Dark ruby-colored, the wine has an attractive bouquet of cedar, spice box, black currants, and blueberry jam. On the palate it offers elegance and fine balance in a racy style, has enough structure to evolve for several years, but can be enjoyed now through 2015.
