The 2010 Magna Praemia is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec. Sporting a medium garnet color, the oak is still apparent on the nose with underlying chocolate box and violets over good core of crème de cassis, warm plums and dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied and very structured on the palate, this very youthful wine is one for the long-haul, with beautifully ripe, firm tannins, a refreshing acid backbone and a finish of excellent length. 317 cases were produced.
