This is one of five offerings from the village of Nuits St.-Georges, all of which are outstanding. The Nuits St.-Georges-Aux Bas de Combe offers the ripest nose given its aromas of jammy black-raspberries, prunes, and truffles. In the mouth, this sweet wine is forward for a Leroy wine, with copious quantities of rich fruit, glycerin, and tannins. One of the few 1990 Leroys that can actually be drunk now, it will undoubtedly keep for 10-15 years. Importer: Martine's Wines, San Rafael, CA.
