The 1992 Fume Blanc possesses loads of sweet, herbal fruit, a touch of honey, noticeable toasty oak, and a creamier, fuller, chewier texture than the more delicate Sauvignon Blanc from Stag's Leap. The Fume Blanc should drink well for 1-2 years. This venerable Napa winery, which, justifiably, has enormous influence on the quality and direction of California winemaking, continues to perform admirably, pushing quality at both the vineyard and winery to greater heights.
