A very nice effort at this price, it’s smooth and supple, with surprising chocolaty notes (surprising because the winemaker insists that no new oak was used). It’s developing more quickly than Sheridan’s higher-priced wines, but drinking very well right now, showing the forward, delicious, mixed fruit flavors of this extremely warm vintage.——P.G.(6/1/2006)—— 88
