The 2001 Marriage, a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the Stags Leap District, starts off better, with notes of plum sauce, sweet red and black fruits, damp earth and a healthy deep ruby/purple color. However, the sweetness on the attack quickly subsides, and while the mid-palate is sufficient, the finish is pinched and angular, raising questions about the wine’s overall equilibrium.Tel.
