Sourced from the Bannockburn sub-region, the 2009 Pinot Noir has a medium-deep ruby-purple color and intense black cherry and black raspberry notes over tree bark, underbrush and white pepper. Medium bodied with some grainy tannins, it has medium-high acid cutting through the ripe bramble berry flavors, finishing long and clean. Drinking now, it should keep to 2015. No known USA importer.

Sourced from the Gibbston subregion, this is a fresh, zesty Pinot Noir, perhaps slightly leafy, but also amply endowed with bright cherry fruit. The finish delivers tart, lingering notes of berry zinger tea, plus a hint of dark coffee. Drink now–2018.——J.C.(4/1/2012)—— 89
